Oh, the places we've been!

The Google Map below displays most of the places we've visited and had some kind of drink - from cafés to cocktail bars, bowling alleys to blue lagoons - our list will continue to grow as we travel. Let us know if you have any recommendations for places we haven't been yet!

Please note that these are NOT sponsored postings or ads - just great places which we think highly of.

Some of Our Favorites

The Guesthouse - orlando, fl

The Guesthouse is a favorite of ours when we are outside the Sanford bubble. The building is midcentury and the bar evokes a charming 1980s Florida feel. It has large windows facing west and when the sun and clouds collude just right, golden hour is almost as good as the drinks.

Connaught Hotel Bar - london, uk

So nice we did it twice. We planned to visit the Connaught Hotel Bar only once during our 2017 Christmastime in London trip, however the experience was so wonderful we squeezed a second visit into our itinerary before we headed home. This is also where we fell in love with Tanqueray No. Ten.

Dukes Bar - london, uk

We like James Bond. We like martinis.  And we love Dukes Bar which has both. Bond aficionados know Dukes as the place where Ian Fleming coined the phrase "shaken, not stirred" and gave James Bond his love of martinis. It was a pleasure to chat with bar manager Alessandro Palazzi and discuss his favorite music and his drink making philosophy. Also, The Mr. quickly learned why there is a two martini limit.

The Dead Rabbit, NYC

2015 and 2016’s Word’s Best Bar was named so for a reason. The coziness, the variety, the hospitality and service are unlike anything we’ve experienced thus far. It is an Irish bar, but you’re not limited to pints and Irish whiskies. The ground floor pub, The Taproom, is their take on a traditional Irish pub, while the second floor houses The Parlor where their craft and classic cocktails are mixed with care and respect.
